Get Your Boat Ready for Haul Out!

The haul out calendar is online. The time will be here before we're ready for it so get your boat on the schedule early. To schedule your haul out click here. If you wish to have your boat shrink wrapped, early haul out is best as bad weather makes the job very difficult.

Mike and Mikey can help you ready your boat for haul out and for the winter months once she's on the hard. Some of the services they'll provide are listed below. With all the activity in the final few weeks of the season they'll be plenty busy so get your requests in as soon as you can to make sure you're on their schedule. If you need help with something not on the list, just ask Mike. You can email him at harbormaster@royspoint.com.

  • Engine winterizing
  • Freshwater system winterizing
  • Septic system flush/disinfect/winterize
  • Shrink wrap
  • Winter cover installation
  • Pressure wash below the water line
  • Remove and store batteries
  • Other - ask Mike

While you're thinking of maintenance, you might as well get on their schedule to prepare for spring launch. Here's a list of tasks to consider:

  • Winter cover and support structure removal
  • Hull and deck washing
  • Wax and buff hull
  • Repaint or touch up anti-fouling paint
  • Engine oil and filter change
  • Prep engine for launch (hoses, plugs, etc.)
  • Recharge and reinstall batteries
  • Prepare fresh water system

Thanks for a great 2009 boating season. We look forward to 2010 with the hope that summer weather will be with us during the summer months!
